my mom has been using one prescribed by her dermatologist for years. it is a retinoid product (im not sure of the exact name). she started using it to get rid of ';the pregnancy mask'; or discoloration around the sides of her face and has been using it ever since. it has a bleaching agent in it that lightens her face and it also gets rid of fine lines and wrinkles. good luck!
